Reeded vs. fluted. vs. slatted panels. They all feature evenly spaced parallel grooves. So what’s the difference, you ask? Reeded panels feature rounded ridges that are convex. Fluted panels have concave channels, and slatted panels are flat. Shop Wall Paneling – Walston Architectural Products Today we’re just going to focus on reeded panels, which are becoming more and more popular in interior design.

Reeded panels can be applied to columns, walls, and even ceilings, which can add a sense of nature and organic beauty to a room. Reeds can also be integrated into architectural details such as railings, balusters, or decorative moldings. We recently added this bench with a reeded seat front and accent panel to our showroom. A Flexible Wood Tambour Panel by Brown Wood, Inc. allowed for easy installation of the reeded panel on the front of the bench.
